CHECKUNO / PRIVACY
Privacy policy
How Checkuno handles local diagnostic information, app analytics, purchases, optional feedback and website requests.
Updated November 8, 2026
Scope and contact
Checkuno is provided by TomatoPeter Studio / Jun Pan. This policy covers the Checkuno iPhone app and checkuno.app. Older App Store versions may still show the previous app name. Contact [email protected] with privacy questions or requests.
Diagnostic information on your device
Camera previews, short microphone test recordings, sensor observations, imported battery or panic logs, and diagnostic reports are processed on your device by the diagnostic features. The diagnostic features do not upload these contents to our servers. Reports, settings and some test artifacts may be stored locally; microphone test files are temporary and cleaned up by the app.
A network check makes a request to the test destination shown in the app (which may be a destination you enter). That destination receives ordinary connection information, including your IP address. Calls or links that you choose to open are handled by the relevant system service. If you export a report or choose a sharing destination, that recipient receives what you share.
Permissions
The app requests access for the check you choose: camera, microphone, Bluetooth, location/heading or Face ID, depending on the feature. Face ID and Touch ID return an authentication result; the app does not receive your biometric template. You may decline or revoke permissions in iOS Settings; affected checks may be unavailable.
Crash diagnostics
The app includes Firebase Crashlytics. When Firebase is configured, crash reporting is enabled by default. It collects crash reports and diagnostic information such as stack traces, app/build version, device and operating-system details, and installation identifiers to help investigate failures. This is separate from the local diagnostic recordings and imported logs described above.
App analytics and purchase services
The app uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand feature usage, test flows and purchase-screen interactions. It sends app events, test identifiers and outcome categories, device/app information and a Firebase app-instance identifier. This is different from uploading your recordings, photos or imported logs. The current configuration disables IDFA collection and advertising-personalization signals.
Apple handles in-app payments. RevenueCat manages purchase verification, restoration, entitlements and purchase/paywall analytics using transaction information and an app-user identifier. The app also links the Firebase app-instance identifier to RevenueCat, together with implementation and build-environment attributes. You do not need to create a Checkuno account. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
Optional feedback and support
Opening the in-app Tally feedback form sends technical context to Tally before you submit: app/version/build, device and OS, screen/orientation, locale/language/timezone, appearance/accessibility settings, power/thermal/battery state, physical memory, app uptime, feature, entry point and time opened. The form also receives the information you decide to submit. Available storage is not collected by this context capture. The website feedback link opens Tally directly and does not append the in-app context.
Email support receives your address, message and any attachments you send. Do not include passwords, payment details or private logs unless needed and reviewed by you. Some internal QA builds can offer a separate optional issue-reporting feature; submitted screenshots, recordings, descriptions and technical build/route context are sent to our feedback service for debugging.
This website and browser tools
The screen and touch tools run locally. They do not record audio, request camera or microphone access, save your drawings, or upload tool content. This website does not install analytics, advertising scripts or marketing cookies.
Cloudflare delivers the site and may process request metadata such as IP address, browser information and security logs to serve and protect it. Following App Store, Tally or other external links subjects that visit to the destination’s policies.
Providers and transfers
We use Apple, Google Firebase, RevenueCat, Tally, Cloudflare and our email provider for the purposes above. These providers may process data in countries outside your own, under their applicable terms and safeguards. We do not sell your diagnostic recordings or reports.
Provider information: Firebase privacy, RevenueCat privacy, Tally privacy, Cloudflare privacy, Apple privacy.
Retention and your choices
Local app data can be removed by deleting the app; exported reports or shared files must be removed separately from their destinations. You can revoke permissions in Settings. Deleting the app does not erase Apple transaction records.
Providers retain analytics, transactions and service logs under their retention settings and legal obligations. We keep support and feedback records as needed to address the request, improve reliability and meet legal obligations. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion, or to raise an objection under applicable law. Include enough context to locate the record without sending sensitive diagnostic contents unnecessarily.
Children and changes
Checkuno is not directed at children. We do not knowingly solicit children’s personal information; contact us if you believe a child has supplied it. We may update this policy as the app or services change and will update the date shown above.
